    Default Dual mass flywheel???

    Ive got my 1.9 CDTi is there anyway of getting rid of my dual mass fly wheel for a old fashion one???

    I know a mate of mine has done it on his skoda vrs.. but im not to sure...

    Hi, yes you can get rid of it. Luk do a clutch kit that includes a replacement "old fashioned" flywheel.
    No real noticable difference in the way the car drives. Have fitted these before to a couple of cars

    The conversions have been known to snap crankshafts in the past as your applying all that force without any cushioning

    hmmmmm........ just stupid i think this dual mass stuff, my Astra LET runs nearly 400bhp and dont have a issue?

    Dampens vibration and copes better with torque apparently

    To reduce vibration and ease take up of the clutch basically.
    And regarding the 400bhp Astra what clutch are you using in that ?
