Right theyve been bugging me all week as they have dropped the car price but still a bit worried about the chip in the windscreen and the bumper. How much is a new bumper?

Hopefully you can see the pics. The chip is big and Im not sure that its a going to repair very well. What do you think guys? The marks in the bumper seem deep aswell so Dont think they will polish out lol.

was going to buy our vectra from evans halshaw in edinburgh, would never ever recommend them to anyone as long as i live, after a 2 hr drive to get there, we just got bump from pillar to post, after a good 35-40 mins(they werent that busy, loads of salesman there if you`re buying a brand new ford) finally got to sit down with the"salesman" started to put x, y, z on top of the screen price, wasnt interested once we said we`d be paying cash, kept going back and forward to his "boss". after sitting at his desk for a good 15mins ourselves then taking turns going back and forward round the showroom trying to keep our 1.5y.o. daughter happy i went outside again, after 10-15 mins we`d had enough, got into our car and went home, they did phone about 30 mins later and about 4 days later but we wernt interested. might have been the best vectra c for the money we were spending but i`ll never know.
as for the one you`re looking at, the bumper doesnt look too bad, as for the chip if its not an mot fail i could live with it.
I bought my Vectra from Evans Halshaw, the fixed all the problems prior to collection I had both bumpers repainted, new tyres new gear level new rear calipers and all new discs and pads all round, along with three tyres, not to forget the biggie a new DMF clutch and slave.
I am very happy with the branch I dealt with and will go back when it is time to buy another car.
The chip can probably be repaired at no cost to you, by getting Autoglass to do it after you've insured it. Before you go back, get EH to confirm that the trade-in price for your ST still stands - none of this "the mileage has gone up" or "used values have dropped in the 10 days since we appraised it" malarkey.
oh and I bet if you go back in july the price of yours will drop as its a month older ..not that the one your buying it too lol ..
The Evan Halshaw we used were the most unhelpful bunch Ive ever met .(BOREHAMWOOD) ED the salesman was a joke once he had our money .
Yeah its borehamwood Ian. Must say after seeing one of the salesman blatantly lie to a customer over the phone Im not impressed with them but i wouldnt be going back to them for service etc anyway. Problem Ive got now is that for some reason Im being refused money left right and centre and Dont know why. I guess if i try and get finance it would come out the same but also eh will only repair the window if its an mot failure. They insisted they wouldnt budge on price then a week later theyve knocked it down (only £100) so a bit cheered off. Think Il have to wait as they seem a bit of a pain to deal with so if the work isn't done then i know it will be a pain dealing with them.
