Default Cars from which era still float your boat.

I was having this discussion with myself the other day, over which era do cars still do it for you.

    1. 1970's
    2. 1980's
    3. 1990's
    4. Modern Day

For me personally it is the 1980's or the Hateties as some might say.
I loved the Sierra Cosworth, Capri's, especially the 2.8 Brooklands and late MK11 Escorts.
They still still do it for me today and would love to have them.

1970's for me. It was before the days of mass production of turbo's and fuel injection units. Cars were simpler and easier for DIY maintenance also. Sure, reliability was a major issue, not to mention rust (especially if you owned a Vauxhall) but that was half the fun wasn't it.

For me it has to be the 80's - I was brought up with cars such as the Lotus Esprit (come to Daddy), Audi Quattro, Escort Mk II (OK production finished in 1980 but I still remeber them throughout the 80's), and F1 was a real motor racing event. Oh the magic

There's cars from all eras that I like, but most of my favourites are from the late 70's and the 80's.

Sierra Cosworth did it for me.............

Plus my wife rented me a proper Ferrari for my 50th birthday - it was a 328. Needed muscles like a navvy for the clutch, accelerator and steering.
