    Default 3.0cdti Woe's.

My Signum has packed up again and is in the carpark at work
Only owned it a month or so and this is the 4th time it has let me down, had EGR replaced and it ran ok after that for a while, 3 days ago I tried to start it and it just turned over, ocassionaly firing but dying off after a few seconds, it did start in the end and ran 100% ok (no dash lights on either).
Went into local VX dealer and no codes where stored, they told me there was a loose connection on the battery ffs

Last night on the way to the shops I got the car/spanner light up but the car ran fine, turned off and the light was gone.

Left work tonight and it fired up but just idled and no responce from the pedal then it died and would not start again.
This is the first 'modern' car I have ever had and the first car I can't repair myself without working for NASA.
I am old school and this is really doing my head in

It's a great engine when it works, but when anything goes the VX dealership just seem to put their hand on the engine cover, "Yeah, it's not working", doh!
Going to an independent doesn't help either, you open the bonnet, they take one look at it, "Nah can't do this engine"

Thats the problem, when its running ok I love the thing but this is really getting to much, Ive only had it just over a month and am thinking of ringing the garage to get my money back (not sure how I stand on that legally?)
Annoting thing is when I was looking for one I did plenty of searching on the net for reviews and 90% I read was positive, guess I've got a Friday tea time car

If its constantly breaking down then it's 'not fit for purpose' Contact garage and if no joy try trading standards

I think thats the way I need to go, very annoying as I do really like the car, also I have spent quite a bit on it since buying it including a cherished plate so guess I stand to loose a fair bit of cash, is buying a used Vauxhall a quicker way of losing money then buying facebook shares
