Put in a cheeky bid of a £10 for a k&n induction kit on eBay and won, now I don't know if I should fit it or not! I have a vectra c gsi by the way!

I say go for it on a gsi should sound wicked.
Only thing Iam worried about is it affecting the maf sensor!
is it just the panel filter or the full 57i kit?
Should not be a prob m8. i had one for a bit on mine (1.8vvt) no lights on dash or anything else.
It's a full induction kit!! Would make the v6 sound sweet!
If it's a daily driver you want a enclosed unit like a bmc one. If it's a w eekend car and no real traffic to sit in then get a cone. on my Gsi I run a panel filter so ive got best of both worlds but it depends on what your goals are after all and the sound.
I ran a eBay £10 cone filter on my GSi. Sounded wicked and never had any problems. People go on about heat soak but they run open filters on 500bhp cossies so it can't be that bad.
I had a 57i on a mondeo V6 many years ago and the sound was good but the better performance for sure was when a panel filter was fitted instead.
Most high powered astra and vectra vxr,s don't run cone filters so it's not really worthwhile only good for noise really. Cossies run them for noise really that is about all. Even the rs500 that used to race were enclosed units. It's a personal thing so do what puts a smile on your face. Must admit what wickedwillie said they do sound good on the v6 mondeo
