I think you should take a look at remaps rather than try altering the boost by another method. These companies can all help:

on these engine a boost controller is not worth it, its more than likely going to put your car into limp mode as the ecu will not like figures its gets back from the boost solenoid, and yes I have tried one on mine...

best option is as advised above, a remap will get loads more out of your engine..

Many thanks for your help people.
Yer i think remapping is my best safest bet because if i get that boost controller i am worried i might blow the turbo.
I took my car to a performance garage and they told me im already getting less power than im suppose to because i still have my original air filter box on is that true??

well.... if you change the airfilter to a high flow panel filter like a Pipercross or K&N you will do better, removing the half funnel from the bottom of the airbox helps a little, don't remove the trumpet section from the top of the airbox as that will create airbox turbulence and give you MAF errors... Some guys use cone filters, i tried a BSR one and could not stand the noise (personal choice), it did nothing performance wise over a modded airbox though.

    Hi, and welcome.

No offence mate, but you'd be far better off asking your question in a more populated area of the forum that's meant for this type of question.

This part of the forum is called "introduce yourself" and the title should be self explanatory.

the noise is what you would refer to as an air induction noise, its the sound of the air being sucked throughh the air filter, with a cone filter it will sound more throaty and louder than with a modified airbox. As for one over the other i found no extra performance between a cone and 'modified' airbox.
