Is my diagnostic socket, under the ashtray, the correct way up??
On mine Pin 1 appears to be the last pin on the bottom row?
I know the pic is not very clear, but the socket has the slightly narrower part at the top.
    Thanks

    yup the instructions are wrong.

Can you do me a favour please once you have it installed. I have asked this a few times, but so far no one has checked.

Once you have it installed and your engine running, can you indicate right with your foot on the brake (as if you were waiting to turn / slowing down to turn) and then flash your lights (as if to tell someone to go).

    Cheers

Thanks, thats what I thought. It didnt work at all the 'right' way up, I have now fitted it up-side-down (and at a slight angle, maybe one of the pins was not in the socket) and it works a lot better. Not got the full hang of it yet, it is still doing mad things.
The doors lock after moving off, but dont unlock when the key is removed, so it is probably on Speedlock 2.
It also has a 3rd LED, an amber one, lit when driving.
I also had the light switch set to Auto instead of Off, as stated in the instructions, so I need to have a play it with it with the light switch off.

Yes, tried that, it seems to put it in setup/programming mode for the 'Lightshow', it seems to be covered on page 9 of the online instructions, but I'm not sure if the Lightshow is separate thing or part of the WTCC.

well after a few days use I am still not happy with the HLS. It does not seem to be making proper contact with the OBD socket, the green light keeps going out. I have still not got it set up right, and it is still doing daft things.
So now I'm after a dead op-com interface (NO Software) so i can see if i can use the plug part to mount the HLS on so it makes better contact with the OBD socket.

I have now given up with the HLS. Rich at Vectra-C spares has given me a full refund, including postage, which is very generous of him.
He has said I can just bin the HLS, but I am going to ask Rich again if he wants it back.
If he doesnt want it back, then I am happy to post it to a regular member on here to see if he/she can get any sense out of it.

Tony as pm..........thanks for sending this, unfortunately it doesnt appear to communicate with car very well, starts to program then seems to loose connection. I have a contact through work who is an electronics engineer (works for pace - who make sat boxes etc etc) and he is gonna take a quick look at circuitry to see if any probs with joints etc. will keep you posted . and thanks again
