Default Rear bumper lip removal - Life/Elite/etc

I'm fitting the new zorst this weekend hopefully, and have been trying to tease the bottom trim of the back bumper off, so I can take it to the beater to get it cut, I don't want to have to take the whole bumper off.

    Now...
It looks to be held on with a bolt behind each wheel and a series of clips... the clips have been very stubborn, am I being too gentle with it or does anyone have any tips or techniques for getting them off? Anyone done this before?

    Thanks in advance

Preface LS one will be slightly different to yours 19cdti but on mine its just a case of using a small screw driver to get the first push fit connector out then the others just pop out no problems.

I was (widely) considering cutting the back side of the clips off but only if there's no alternative - I don't wanna have to worry about bonding it back on and risking not using strong enough stuff

they just clip off once the torq screws are removed mate.
if its being stubborn get a heat gun/hairdryer and put it up the back of the bumper to heat the clips and pull, once a couple pop the rest will go easily.
be gentle with the heat tho mate.
