P0070 is your ambient air temperature sensor this sits at the bottom of your front lower grill , just check the connection,s . Now this is electrically connected to your TPS Throttle position sensor p0638 is related to this problem

Firstly is your temp sensor giving you an accurate reading example today,s temp around 20-24 degrees .
If the sensor is not giving accurate readings then check out the connection,s or replace sensor, fairly cheap on e bay .
p0638 can be generated by a few things
    1 faulty tps sensor ,
2 leak in vacuum hose,s leading to manifold vacuum unit,
3 sticking butterfly valve in inlet manifold
with the first two being the more common faults .

Tps can be in one of two places on the 2.0DTi .
It is either on the inlet manifold itself as in the above pic The square looking sensor directly in front of the oil filler cap, or on some Dti it is actually on the throttle pedal itself.

NOTE If the first one then -Do not take the tps sensor off the manifold itself .
this has a collar inside the butterfly which if wrongly alligned on refitting can be easily broken
Vauxhall dont sell the sensors seperately you have to buy the whole upper manifold .
Vx charge to get a replacement £340
though you can get them on the online vx deals for around £100 less . So best left alone .
