My 2.2 Direct auto had its 6th service and MOT today.
All passed with flying colours and no advisories. Didn't change my aftermarket HIDs for normal H7's. Tester said if it fails because of them, then to change back to H7's and he'll pass it. Just like people do with dodgy number plates. Didn't need to though. Passed ok with the HIDs fitted.
Got 20% discount with my Masterfit Service Club card. Just under £70 off final bill, which was £265 for a main service, brake fluid change, & MOT.
75,000 miles on the clock now, and still on the original spark plugs. Thought they might have changed them (due at 80,000 or 8 years, whichever is soonest) but said they'll be ok until next year as I only do around 10,000 miles yearly.
Only negative thing I have to say is that the pollen filter wasn't fitted correctly (good job I looked) and they hadn't bothered clearing out the dead leaves and other debris from the scuttle area and the new filter was already starting to accumilate rubbish in it. Another reason for it not being fitted properly was that it was sat on some of the debris. One quick hoover out, and the pollen filter now fits properly.
EDIT - Oh, there was one other negative thing. They loaned me a 1.0 Corsa (the one with a cylinder short of an engine). I put 2 gallons of fuel in, did 60 miles and the fuel gauge hardly moved. It was empty when I got it, but had ¼ of a tank in it when I dropped it back off. Damn! I wish my 2.2 was so frugal on fuel as that 1.0 was.
