Angry £530 from Vauxhall for a new Condenser, LOL

After getting a full air-con service done for £75 at a vauxhall dealer 2 weeks ago, It never worked.
But the technician said "Tested to 7 Degrees Celcius (weather was really bad that day). No leaks, But Condenser showing signs of wear and tear" .

Went back again this week to be told it probably has gone and they would charge me around £530 (£230 for Condenser) inc labour for a new one.

The obvious answer was no, and i'm £75 poorer.

That's a bit steep. Only a couple of hours labour at the most and the condenser is only about 125 (non genuine)

How do they expect people to pay that much??. The full air con service price wouldn't of been that bad if it worked.
I'l get the condenser done locally and thanks for the LMF link John IS3. It's going to be one expensive summer.

Yup that is the amount i been quoted from my local stealers.
Tbh the job can be done yourself or by a competent mechanic. The actual condensor is just over £100. http://www.autoairconparts.co.uk/vau...tors-and-more/
