    Default Slide Show Emails

Have just received an email with a slide show attached. Is there anyway the pictures used in the slideshow can be saved as some are quite amusing & worth putting up.

If you save the file then open it using the slideshow software (I use power point). Donít go to slideshow view, leave it in normal view, and right click the mouse over the pic then select save as picture (and choose your format jpeg etc.).

If you can only save it as a bmp do that then change it to something like jpeg and the file size will be much smaller HTH

If I open the file with microsoft office powerpoint it just goes straight into the slide show. How do you NOT go into slideshow view?

When you start power point it will be blank. If you go to the FILE option (top - left in main toolbar) and open the file you have saved it should open with the 1st page of the slide-show on the screen. If you page/scroll through the pages you should be able to right click the images you want to save.

In the bottom left of the screen there may be a toolbar with symbols on it which come up with normal view and slide show view when you put the mouse over them (you want to be in normal view). Alternatively under view in the top toolbar select normal.

If it is auto running for some reason (canít think why, unless it is some kind of protection) you could try pressing escape when it is running, it should exit to the power point programme in normal mode.

Canít upload pics at work but if you are still having probs I will try and post a couple of screen dumps that might help.

    Best of luck

Ah got you now. Open the file from power point program not simply right click & open the file with which is what I was doing, that is why it was auto running.
I'll give it a go later.
    Thanks.

    Vehicle : Jaguar XF 3.0D V6

The easiest way is to rename the file extension from .PPS to .PPT (left click on the name and change it) and then open it normally with power point. Then you can copy, edit - do what you like as normal.
