I cant fit my hand in, and the bumper is as quick to drop as the airbox is to remove. even with the washer neck out I cant fit my hand in properly.

Does anyone know if you have to have spare HID bulbs with you also?

Technically yes. If you have HID bulbs in your lights, then you need a spare HID bulb in the car with you

I'm not sure but I think you need 1 high vis vest for each occupant of the car & you can't keep them in the boot - they have to be inside the car.

Thats correct must be within the cabin, as you cant get out of the car without it if stop for any reason, and they advise carrying one per seat in the car even if there is less than a full car of people!

    From November 2012

    Correct

I got caught out by this one. Same fitment and wattages. One of each bulb is needed. I now carry two, so still have one if I need to change one.

Really, a girl like me doing this!!

French have some strict laws over here.
Luckily when I visit Toulon later in the year I won't be driving, just sailing in

    AFL's you add a fuse.

This is why I got facelift angel eyes as they all come with the switch.

Dipping your headlights doesnt make them legal and will get you stopped in Europe.
Are you saying that just flicking the switch isn't enough and you still need the deflector stickers?

I went to the local dealers. They do not have deflectors for the vec headlights, and they said to turn the Allen key on the Top to adjust. I just dropped the aim and had no problems

And don't forget you now have to delete all speed camera warnings from your TomTom, carry a warning triangle (two for Spain), at least one High Viz that must be in the car so the driver can put it on without getting out (I play safe and have 1 for each passenger) - also best to make sure they are the right ones with the EU marking... On top of this bulb kit, first aid kit and at least 2 breathalysers.

It is getting to the point where I simply can't be bothered with it anymore - going to the South of France again this year but may not do it again for a long time. Just not worth the hassle.

Top tip for France though - get one of the Dart Tag type things that fit on your windscreen. Always good to sail passed the traffic jam to zip through the autopeage toll! You can now get them in the UK - I got mine from France with a 30E deposit.

Flicking the built in switch on preface is enough, but just lowing the lights from inside the car isnt
