Default Some urgent advice needed please...

I have an item on ebay that can potentially sell for quite a high price by high I mean £400+, there's only 24h left on the auction, I have watchers but someone has bid on the item, no feedbacks, registered 26 November 2006, going from past experience these sort of bidders are never a good thing, Should I assume this is a scam and cancel the bid?

The item in question in an APEXi Power FC & commander for a '92-'95 RX-7
now for starters, the bidders username is int3gra_typ3_r this would lead me to believe that the bidder owns an Intergra Type R and therefore have no use for an RX-7 specific product, could his scamming target be Japanese tuning and styling products? Am I just being paranoid?

I wanted to have the money for christmas and if this ****** is messing me around I'll have to relist and this may put genuine bidders off

What would others do in this situation, I understand I can cancel bids for my own autions, if so how do I do this and what is the general practice for this? send him a message saying that unfortunately because he has no feedback I am going to cancel his bid, then do it?

    Please help me!

I'd send him a message saying that as he has no feedback he is to contact you ( by phone) giving some contact details ( that you can check on the royal mail's address/postcode checking website).

genuine bidders would do this surely??,, you state quite openly that it's just because of no feedback ( we all had to start there remember) and that if they don't contact the bid will be removed..It just gives you chance to 'interveiw' the buyer to see if they are spamming it up or not..

I agree, contact the bidder and ask some details to see if they are genuine. I have sold dozen's of items to people who are new to ebay with zero feedback, you tend to only hear the horror stories.

Also, for future bids you can change you preferences to refuse bids from buyers with either no feedback or less than a certain amount.

Funnily enough that's what I did last night and as of yet he hasn't replied, I've also had numerous people watching my other items contact me and tell me that they've seen him bid on countless items on ebay over the past few days including a 150,000 ferrari Think to be safe I'm going to cancel his bid...

just wait most bidding is done in the last 10 mins of an auction.

( atip to doing auctions allways try to have the aution to finish between 6pm and 9pm this is when most are on ebay and the most likely to get last miniute bids in)

Just cancell his bid & block him from bidding on it again. It's easy to do just type cancel bid into the help part and then type block bidder into the help part It will guide you through. I've done this quite a few times. It really Pi**es you off.
