    Default JBL Subwoofer + CDC40

    Hi all i have just been giving a JBL subwoofer and was wondering if anyone can tell me what i need to get it set up with my CDC40 i got the wires for it as well.

    mark you need an RCA converter as you wont be able to connect an amp to a cdc40. the RCA converter taps into the left and right speakers. then to switch on/off the amp connect a wire to the remote and + on the amp with a switch so you can turn on and off.

    it taps into both you rear speakers i did it on mine and im happy with it. i didn't want to ge rid of my cd70 nav. i have fli 900w amp and x2 12" 1000w subs

    you do know you dont get the best sound doing it this way but like i said am happy with it and i had this set up in my mk3 mondeo

    Any chance of posting up a how to with pics on this one. Would be interested in giving this a shot as i have two subs outta my old corsa and didnt like the after market hu in the vec at all would prefer to keep the steering controls too.

    me to, this vectra is the only car i have not changed thed unit in, it plays my mp3s and at a reasonably high volume, i also have a amp and sub and a head unit gathering dust.
