If one were to be interested in a Signum 2.8 Turbo... could one swap the auto box for a VXR manual gearbox ??

... and possibly, could one then apply some EDS and 888 magic for a super stealth Signum VXR 340 BHP!!

One was thinking quietly to oneself..... how much would the gearbox conversion cost, and would one need anything else... like clutch?? etc...

EDIT: Cheapest one I've seen so far is £12,499 for an '06' with 5,295 miles

clutch, flywheel from a VXR..clutch pedal and cylinder...gearshift and console.. what you would need to find is a damaged VXR or police 2.8T and then have a side by side switcheroo...ready supply of small parts and all you could need..

but with the tiptronic, one would be asking EDS if the auto would take the input torque

..the with the tiptronic you have the best of both worlds..

One could get the Signum Design spec and then one would have the manual gearbox already. It's only on the Elite 2.8T that one doesn't have the manual gearbox. One wouldn't have all the toys of the Elite but one could be lucky and find one where the previous owner ticked the boxes to have things like ECC etc. so that one still has the comfort toys.

Then one could get a BSR remap and one could have a helluva lot of fun. Although one may not get the full 340 horses as one will find that one only gets that from the VXR 2.8T engine - but one could still have around 285bhp so still plenty of horses for one to have some fun!!

EDIT: I didnt realise you could get a manual gearbox version anyway.... god, thats gotta be one cheap speed machine..

If one remembers correctly there was a 2.8T (ex police) engine for sale on e-bay a few weeks ago - not sure if it sold (it was mentioned in a few members posts).
