Default After an in car camera

During the last couple of weeks I've seen things on the road that have made me shudder, with this in mind I have decided to get an in car camera for "just in case"

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a half decent quality one that isn't going to break the bank. I have numerous other mods in progress anddue to this money is not tight but.....restricted.

Obviously plenty on ebay but if you're paying £25 are they actually any good? or are you getting what you pay for? which I'd imagine wouldn't be much

I'll watch this thread with interest. I've been thinking on similar lines, but like you have no idea of what's a good buy or just a waste of money. It raises the question of do you need both front and back cameras too? Not much good if you have the perfect system on the front but someone rear ends you at a roundabout!

I've just bought one of these, when it arrives I'll give it a review. I wanted a dual camera because it also proves that I wasn't preoccupied whilst driving should an incident occur.

Well depends on what you want really,

I have an el cheapo cam, looks somewhat similair to the one bishbang has, and really not impressed with it's recorded video.

And has been banned to the work van. I recently orderd a blackvue dr400g HD, which has some nice features such as
    -actueel speed
-auto lock recorded video when crash (via gsensors), so the recorded bit doesn't get overwritten.
    - parking mode, cam stores footage when detecting movement or when the g-sensor is triggerd.

And the video's i have seen were great. Cheapest i have seen is 115 pounds.

    Good review:

Does the Blackvue DR400G autonatically start recording when you start the car?
Lois Griffin: Peter! You're bribing your daughter with a car?
Peter Griffin: Ah, c'mon, Lois, isn't 'bribe' just another word for 'love'?

Yep But there seems to be an overheating issue, causing the lense to fog up, but as i'm from the Netherlands , we don't see the sun that often I also bought the power magic pro , which "protects" you car battery from draining, because the camera needs a constant + for recording in parking mode.

some more info can be found here.

That is what I have. Never had a prob with screen or recording. Quality is fine for its purpose (plenty of vids on youtube) but obviously you wont be shooting the next hollywood blockbuster or be a threat to Speilberg lol
