    Default ecu reset

    is there anyway of resetting the ecu. I wish to reset the fueling...

    just disconnect the battery for about 20 mins..that will revert it back to factory settings..

    Disconnect battery for 30 minutes, that'll definitely reset it. It may even do it with a shorter time disconnected, but 30 minutes will definitely be sufficient. Just nip back in and have a cup of coffee!!

    What benefits can be got from resetting the ECU - I understand that it is supposed to learn your driving style, but is there any possibility that you may get an improved MPG?

    i'm hanging on this thread ! as i fitted my filter a week ago but did not reset the ecu ! so if an extra improvement can be made ? i'm going to do the same !!
