Default Signum 3.0 cdti noise when cold

Recently i have had all the belts replaced on my signum with a full service as its hit the 100k mark.
Got the aux belt and tentioner replaced but recently its starting making a horrible noise around the aux belt area when first started.
After around 2 minutes noise goes away or when i rev engine but its driving me nuts as its like a old tractor.
Any light on this problem would be great.

I'm not familiar with the 3.0cdti, but if the problem has occurred since changing the belts and tensioner, then it sounds to me like the extra load on the auxilliaries may be highlighting a problem that was there beforehand but not audible. I would get a long screwdriver, touch on and listen to each pulley/auxilliary component to see if you can pinpoint the source of the noise.

The auxiliary belt tensioner has failed, it's a dreadful noise when it goes
It is at it's worst when the engine is cold and you can hear it vary with revs, plus it sounds like a metal to metal noise at higher revs when the bearing has finally worn out

I don't have a cost for it, but it will be around £200
Access is very good, so should be around 1.5 hours

£200 lol try approx £70 and it takes 15 mins

All you need is a 15mm spanner and 6mm Allen key bit
Don't forget to draw a map of the belt when fitted do you put it back correctly

I am basing my cost on the full retail price without discount and dealership rates
Obviously it can be purchased from a parts department with dicount for much less than this
