Annoying problem

Hi all
I keep getting the brake light warning on the display intermittantly. I thought that the bulbs might be loose but they seem ok. Any ideas what it could be please?

Low brake fluid or faulty switch?

Thanks Bigtee. The brake fluid is fine so it must be the switch. Any idea where its located mate?

Is this light the same one as the handbrake applied?

Is there a sensor on master cylinder? at work now can't check fully.

No mate its the yellow one above the speedo and on digital display but it goes out and comes on at random times. Not sure about the sensor though

Is it a picture of a bulb?

If it is the warning will detect the change in resistance before it blows.

Yes Lee it is the pic of the bulb thanks for the info. I love my vec but I've never had a car that blows so many bulbs as this one does. Is it a common fault with them or am I just unlucky?

Mine used to blow cheap bulbs so paid a bit extra and bought 'branded' bulbs like 'Osram' and not had problems since.
