Default Network Q 114 point check

Just about to pick up my first ever network q car this week and i was wondering what happens if they find something on the 114 point check.
I checked out the site http://www.networkq.co.uk/nq/morefro...14checklist.do which lists all the check points but was wondering what they do if they find something wrong. The reason i ask is that i popped down to see my new car and found a list of things wrong with it. It needed a new windscreen due to massive circular crack!, one of the alloys has been kirbed and there are sevral bits of the interior trim missing!!!The bonnet was peppered with chips and there was a weird tar like substance on the door pillar which i swear is under the clear cote!!!! all this should have been checked surely!! I then have to ask for these bits to be sorted (which you just know wont come tomorrow when i try to pick it up). Are theyquite loyal to this 114 point check thing?

the 114 point check won't be looking for things like the stone chips or even fixing them..it's more running gear and safety checks..The windscreen should be done, but the alloys won't be refurbed..

NetworkQ cars are a good buy, but it is down to the individual dealer to decide what repairs they are going to do to the car.. the interior trim should be repaired thou..

It seems you may be expecting too much from a networkQ car..No offence, but it's not a guarantee of a 'mint' or 'factory fresh' car at all.. it's more set up to give a decent warranty backup to buying a nearly new vauxhall.. it takes the warranty cover back up to the equivilant of VX's first year..

Most of what you've picked up on ( windscreen apart) wouldn't be repaired without being worked into the deal..

no rowecliffes of yeovil. But i see where you're coming from with expecting too much. I just don't see the point in 'checking' for exterior damage on the 114 point check if they don't do anything about it!? I can almost imagine them with a clip board saying, "exterior paint damage? Yep!" and ticking the box!

I didn't mean to moan but it just annoys me that this car has had 2 114 chekc in as many weeks (they did it twice by accident) and i can walk straight up to it and see things wrong with it within seconds. Trim missing, buttons don't work, wiper blades need replacing etc etc. it just doesn't fill me with confidence for the rest of the network q package we pay so much for! I'm sure its very dependant on dealer as you say gsi, and my local dealers are ****e to say the least! Here we go again i guess!!!

The only 'good' side of it is, if you do buy networkq, that the dealers will have to put right anything you don't like over the next 12 months..so at least you know that you'll have 12 months 'easy' motoring with more comeback than buying elsewhere..

oh yeh i totally agree. My last vectra's clutch brakes and rear shocks all went within months of buying it and the warranty with that was pants and didn't cover most of it! cost me a fortune in the early months of having it! Are they pretty good with the warranty side of the package then?

My old Vectra b had a network q, I was a "b00dly" nuisance to my dealer, I went back with everything I was not happy with , especialy when the warrenety was about to run out, they were very good and sorted all I asked for.

as above with Ed on this one...networkq is a good warranty as they go...it covers all aspects of your car, apart from paint so really inspect before you sign for the car..don't let the dealer wisk you in the office, walk round the car 1st....

in the next 12 months if you get anything wrong you will be covered..subject to really minor exceptions..
