3.2 v6 creamy oil

guys, did I read somewhere that 3.2's suffer from condensation in the oil? I had a big service last year by ex Vauxhall technicians. car goes well but when checking I noticed the filler cap is creamy. I hope its not the head gasket!!
is this true or have I got problems, thanks

Any on the oil on the dipstick? Do you still have the extension on the filler neck?

dont think there is any on the dip stick, extension on the filler?/ what is that? its an ex police SOCA car still chipped, so dont know if they did anything else to it.

On the 3.2 there is a slight extension to the filler neck, think its more for ascetics, so its level with the engine covers. Trouble is the oil vapours condense due to the extension being in a cooler air flow. You can remove it, but IMO it looks better in place. Just take a rag and clean away the white stuff from time to time. If there is no creamy oil on the dipstick, or oil in the expansion tank I wouldnt worry.

ok, thanks. will look at the neck tomorrow. wonder if its because it only does 7miles each way to work a day.

Yup. IMO it looks better in place, id just check it and clean it once a month or as required.

you do about the same milage as me a day its the few miles a day that makes it go like that quicker i removed my filler neck and left it in the pocket in the boot i know it looks better on but i dont want the gunk mixing with my oil so for the sake of it looking a little better i think i will have cleaner oil and if i ever get rid of car or need to put oil in engine i can put it back on
