tbh, the piolt only ever deals with take off and landing anyway so being flown by a computer isn't really anything new. The bit that would scare me is if something goes wrong, there's no one to fix it.

As above - planes have been flying themselves for decades, from brakes off to coming to a full stop at the end of the destination runway.Air traffic control and emergency situations are the main reasons they're still there, but even then they aren't infallible.

Most even land themselves already. TBH its they way it will go, even cars will be this way in 20 years time imo. Anyone remember the Merc that Clarkson drove that braked itself. Natural progression I guess.
