Sticking my neck out, I cant see why a cambelt / pulley noise would affect performance........

Not sure if this is the kit you're after Dave????

Going by the Kit part number:- 93191278, which I believe is for the Z19DTH (1.9 CDTi 150bhp) hopefully someone can confirm this................

£83.81 (Inc VAT) Offer ends on Mon 25/06/2012 or until stock lasts! ( 1 remaining! )

Might be worth giving them a call to confirm

Hope it helps and good luck

The noise may be from a roller bearing, or the water pump. If there is a slight slackness then maybe its thrown the timing out slightly.

Hi David, I am planning my change around 70K and have begun looking at the kit prices I am seeing them about £130/150 depending on mfr. To fit I was quoted £150 as well local to me.

As for it being the cause, why not try the serpentine belt first before jumping in? but to mme it does sound like a tensioner, don't rule out the issue I had with the Astra that was the EPAS pump I changed the belt on Esthers Astra thinking it was that only to find it was the EPAS unit, got one off ebay, noise gone!!

    What sort of noise mate?

@ 70K - I would certainly be looking at changing the full Cam Belt Kit and waterpump anyway.

Your not local to Heathrow are you? I could do it for you if you were? Ive been doing them for people for £200 - £220 all in supplied and fitted with VX Genuine parts as a guide.
