    Default Temperamental Central Locking

The central locking on my new car seems a little temperamental and also sometimes has a mind of its own.

Sometimes it locks perfect with the flick of the remote button and also from the inside switch, then other times everytime I press the remote button it locks then immediately unlocks and keeps doing this, even from the interior lock button, then I have to lock each door manually and the drivers with the key.

    Can anyone help please?

    Thanks.

Something I noticed in the way home, when the central locking plays up (unlocks it self automatically) the drivers side door open sign is illuminated on the dash.
Add's up now. BUT whats the problem?

Maybe a broken wire, or dodgy connection, between on of the doors. Try disconnecting each plug and give them a squirt with wd40 as a starting point.

WD40 didnt work!! However, when I disconnect the drivers door, the central locking works find and locks as it should!

Where is the sensor on the door telling the system that it open or closed? The older cars used to have the little push in switch, cannot see one on this?

Is that likely to be the problem?

    Thanks.
