    Default Estate roofrails bought!!!

Paid last night (sunday from vectra c spares on eBay, just waiting for it to come!!

I asked if I need to drill holes etc, he said car should have holes already there with tape over it. Let hope it is the case of a straightforward fit!!!

Do anyone want me to put a how to guide on?

Will do photos too :-) really looking forward to having it fitted, all estates should have roofrails fitted as standard!!

here's my how to if it helps .
and theres no drilling of the body work just drilling the rivits off the plastic clips which hold the existing trim on which needs to be removed and cut to length.

get some one to help you hold the existing trim when your ready and push it down to where it needs to be at the bottom of the winscreen(back in place)then offer it up to the roof bar end,i cut mine so they just sat under the roof bar ends marked them, then cut them with a hacksaw.just so you know they are not plastic it is very light weight alluminium .take your time and you'll get a clean cut.after this i put them into place at the bottom again then carefully bent them under the bar ends and they just push back on.

just so you know the trim just pulls off. ipulled from the back off the car to the front. just take your time when pulling down the windscreen as these clips need to stay intact.hope this helps let me know if you need any more info.

Woooo. ( the previous post posted before I could finish! Lol,

Out came the roofrails!!! And the trim but in blue. Good use of example to cut my silver trim as the blue one can't be fitted to my silver car! Lol

Inspected the roofrails, it's like new!!!! Reallllllllly happy!!

My wife looked at me and frowned!! Oh dear!! Lol

    Opinions to their own!

I find it looks good for estate as it should be as standard. Secured with roofbars then there's nothing to remove or replace as a fixed point will have covers I hate them!! Lol
