    Default CDTI 150 not well :(

    So my Vec has been down on power recently. its like the turbo doesn't kick in til 2500rpm and before that its like a lame donkey. I thought it was EGR/inlet related (just glued my swirl flaps but that didn't fix it.) but i think its something else now but I don't know what.

    I recently pulled out a laybay in a bypass and booted it hard than I normally would to get up to speed (figured it might help clear some soot out). When I got to 3500rpm - 4000 rpm the power just disappeared and the car was suddenly even worse. After that I couldn't get the car to go above 3500rpm even with the clutch down and my foot down on the accelerator.

    I've also just changed the fuel filter to see if that wouldn't help and it doesn't appear to have.

    Anyone got any ideas? I'm in the process of trying to read the codes off it and will post back any I find.

    a few quid and an esay fix., If this ain't the problem well you've sorted a common fault before it strikes and it only cost a few quid.

    They look pre 2007 plugs not the revised

    thats what I thought but a lot of people only change no.3 which is out of shot in the picture

    Injector #4 is visible in the pic above. #3 is the new blue connector (replaced by me a couple of years ago.)

    Anyway, I replaced the vacuum hose and it's like a new car power kicks in around 1800rpm now and it feels like it should again. Thanks so much for your help guys especially marc vectra sri .

    I did break the nozzle off the vacuum sensor :s but I super glued it back on. Might need to replace it in the future if it doesn't hold.
