tbh when i fitted ben's rear shocks i thought they were pretty damn soft myself, no where near as hard as the oem they were replacing, didn't fit the front struts only the front spring's

The rears on mine was softer than standard Vx but with the uprated springs there spot ok as for tue front they was soft and a little shorter aswell hence i said the drive is 100% better with the fk springs and shocks than fk with standard shocks

Vehicle : Vectra Sri 120 navi

    Trim : Sri

    Engine : 1.9 cdti 120 bhp

    Year : 2006

    Mileage : 38550

    Default

Sorry about starting an old thread up. I've came across these shockers from Dj and was wondering are they worth fitting??
I've priced the bilstein shocks and they are out of my price range. Would these be any good on a cdti Sri? I have it lowered 60mm already but the top bearings are gon, drop links need replaced as both front shocks are what appears to be just a giant rust scab. The car is an 06reg facelift with only 36784 miles on the clock. The standard shocks still work but as I'm going to have my wheel alignment done after I've fitted all the new stuff along with my refurbed snowies I want the car to handle well but not too crashy over bumps like it does at the minute.
    And help/advice would be great.
    Ian.

Personally, I'd just replace with standard shocks or get the bilsteins if can afford... We ended up swapping Andy's back as the FK's where horrible! He even had to remove his spacers as it was too bouncy and kept catching with them, think he went on to sell the car with standard shocks back on...
