    Default HID's fitting problem

I have got a hids kit for my old car and want to fit it to my vec, the I've checked to see if both kits are the same and the are. However I am having problems seating the bulbs correctly any Ideas?

    Thanks

you might need the rxtra spring clips that sometimes come with the HIDs .

I seem to remember some headlights need the extra clips to make the bulbs sit properly.
Facelift were ok ,but some of the preface weve done needed the clips ..
look on HIDs direct website i,m sure they list them .

    Hi Chum

Your garage shows a facelift is that correct. If so you dont need the clips. They are for preface.

Are your bulbs H7 and do they have the metal or plastic base?

The metal ones clip in just fine but I have had nothing but trouble with the plastics ones. They pop out too easily.

What exactly is your problem with fitting them?

    Let us know

    Cheers

P.S iF for some reason they are for a preface then I have the clips you will need and can post them to you free of charge as I won't use them.

Sorry to be the one with bad news mate but then clips will be useless im afraid.

The main problem is the hids with plastic bases. They are a horrid fit. The metal ones work very well.

The only solution I can give you until your order and receive metal based ones is loads of blue tac to hold them in place.

BTW im running with these and for a tenner so far they have been great.

    Good luck mate

No problem with the plastic bases on my HID bulbs in my facelift headlights. Fitted the kit back in Aug or Sep 2009 and they have remained in place until I had to change a faulty bulb in January this year. Replaced with another set of bulbs with plastic bases and they've remained in place the past 5 months too.

As its been said if plastic base they are useless they pop out when they want very poor fit I had nothing but probs with plastic base and bought metal base fit perfect and stay in

I'd also say 5000k pure white I had them but changed them to 6000k for a bit more blue
