    Shouldn't see why not the higher EGT's will burn some of the soot before the regen starts, I disconnected my EGR and I didn't see any issues when it regened. The EGR and DPF are both there to reduce emissions thats all, oh and reduce power output.

    do u blank the hole on the engine block? 120bhp one?

    Can't blank with dpf. Unless you have dpf gutted and remapped, (and get egr remapped at same time)
