    Default Morrisons Fuel

Hi everyone has anybody had the same problem as me I have a 57 plate Vectra 1.9 CDTI SRI. Twice I have filled it with Morrisons diesel and the the engine management light comes on. Fill it with any other fuel the light goes out. On both occaissions the car ran as normal. Has anybody else had the same problem or any idea what is causing it?

    Default Morrisons Fuel

I have a 1.8 petrol Design spec and have used Morrisons fuel once and never again. My consumption dropped from it's normal 34 mpg to 29 mpg, the performance of the car was poor and I checked the oil level after I had used the Morrisons fuel and the level had dropped by about 20%. I am sure this was down to the fuel as I check my oil level regularly and it didn't drop any further after I put Shell back in the tank.I appreciate yours is a diesel but its odd that we have both experienced problems with Morrisons fuel which in my case hadn't occurred before or since. Coincidence? - I don't think so.

Fuels fuel in my eyes... It's all produced in a limited number of places, it's a bit like only shopping at marks & Spencer's tho, whatever floats your boat...

Supermarket fuel is the same as all other base fuels. I worked at Stanlow oil refinery and the Supermarket tankers would filled up from the same bowsers as the Shell trucks. There are no seperate storage facilities at refineries for each Supermarket.
The only reason Tesco, Morrisons, etc is cheaper is because they claw back the money from the shop. Shell, BP, Esso etc don't have that luxury.

Morrisons ul used to put the eml on in my old 328ci. It was only their fuel that used to do it.
