    Default Creaking badly

    Hen I press the brake it creaks like a 200 year old wooden ship only from the caliper I got from scrappies what could it be

    You don't need to grease a calliper before fitting one.

    maybe it would of been an idea to have stripped it down n greased the caliper slides with copper slip..

    i always grease my caliper sliders and the backs of the pads with copper slip helps them slide better and stops them from sticking.

    Can anyone tell me how to grease the slide as its pretty annoying and makes the noise when in traffic get some funny looks lol

    Edit: while u got them off check the pads as well spin the disk to see if anything on them thats making them squeak.

    Cheers mate also it's rusty on the disc about 3 inch where pads rnt touching garage say its fine this cos pads are bedding in

    As long there's still plenty on the disk it is fine. I'm thinking about doing my disks as i don't think they have been changed since the car was new and when i did my brakes the other month i had ti tap the rust off to get the new pads on so might just do a upgrade to 314's.
