Default Griffen Duel USB installed to blank dash switch.

Got board earlier. The Griffen duel USB port is sleek, sexy and fits flush with your cig lighter socket, apart from the socket cover getting in the way!. Decided to move it to one of the blanks on the dash. Tricky, as you need to be very careful when soldering on to the terminals on the Griffen. A 10mm hole is needed on the top/side of the blank to allow acess to the neg, spring strip once installed. Sorry I didn't think about doing a how to at the time.

A mate who bought one only had one of the ports working on his, so check both work on arrival before soldering it.

Any pics of yours in the rear Mark?

JPS: It's the cheapest way to fill a blank (if you have any), a passenger might be greatful and as I can't see USB being overtaken by another system, chances are you'll own something that want's USB in the future

I know, it does look somewhat silly having only one heated seat switch now! (even more so as it doesn't even work, apart from lighting up with the dash) LOL

IN FACT: Does anyone want the driver heated switch that came out for the USB to go in?. You can always sell your passenger switch to the next person who does this and they can sell theres on for the next to sell there Drivers and so on, and on, and on....

why not put it in the tray below your heater control as you'll have cables going up the dash when you plug something in and the heated seat switches look much better.
