I have a CDC40 Opera, has the BC button but only shows the timer. Be handy to have the trip computer done! If you can help that'd be spot on

Well mate - the offer is there - not a problem..

I take it the screen and unit are paired - so all works, i.e. all radio functions.

You can see what the current code index is thats programmed at the moment by doing the following:

    Start car
    Press the main button
Press and hold the settings button until you get a beep
Press the BC button and that will take you to the normal screen you are presented with when you press BC (so in your case timer)
Press the BC button again and you will go into the 'test' menu - here you can see what the 'code' currently is - will be something like 012 or 013 or 014 etc etc...
Press the BC button again to cycle through the hidden test menu,

Let me know what the current code is and also the software verison date.

Excellent thanks. I will check later as not near the car and report back. Once in the menu as above is it easy to escape out?

Keep pressing the BC button will cycle you through the menu and back to the main BC menu.

You can press another button at any time - and you will come out of test mode when you turn the ign off.
