    Default Tyre pressure?

    Whats the best tyre pressure for a 07 vectra sri estate with the standard alloys? My astra was a 32, is it the same?

    I've got 17" rims. The recommended pressure for my tyres is 32 psi all round (2.2 Vectra Elite with 225/45/17's) (up to 3 passengers). Using your method would mean I would need 36 psi, not the recommended 32. I've always run them at 32 regardless of what loading is in the car. Apart from a tracking issue, I've never had any abnormal tyre wear. Increasing to 36 however could result in them being over-inflated and the middle wearing out quicker than the outside of the tyres.

    And on mine using 32 would result in both outer edges wearing out and I can even feel it when they fall this low
    I can get away with 35 (the same as the rear), but the cornering performance is not as good as when they are at the correct 39

    35 psi all round for me. Kumho kh31 225/45/17

    All tyres wore well and gave me 27,000 miles before I considered a new set. They still had quite a bit of tread depth left.

    This is the rule I use to with my 18's I have done 72000 miles in my car and am on my 3rd set of rubber never had abnormal tyre wear except when my alignment was out after I changed the suspension but was caught in time.

    My tyres are 215/50/17, think ill go with an average of 35
