    Default UHP4 bluetooth loom question

I have the wiring in place for the Mic in the headlining. Does that mean I should have all of the other wiring too?

And does the bluetooth work with the iPhone 4?

    No, and possibly

Just because you have the black plastic 2 pin connector (just to the right if u remove the interior light, you may not have the ribbon cable flylead, and pound to a penny you wont have the bluetooth loom which would be situated at the back of the oddments tray which is the one underneath the heater controls

Sorry Dean, I should have been clearer. I have the 2 pin plug and the wires run down the a-pillar. I'll check behind the storage tray for the multiplug, it'll save a bit of hassle

    the above still applies

you'll find almost all facelift/fullcan cars will have the black 2 pin plug as part of the body loom

Do all of the connections from the UHP 4 go directly into the cd70?

No mate, they splice into the loom at various points, ie Postive, Negative supplies, Canbus is linked either to display or ECC depending what you have. Mic is directly out to the roof loom. Speech/Sound is feed into the CD70 though as is mute, there are parrot leads out there with the UHP loom attached to it so you just plug it in to the radio as an extension harness with the microphone on a flying lead.

Mine had the wires in the roof lining John but none of the rest of it, they tended to only put the harness in if the option was selected at the factory as it was a factory fit option only, and then if it had been selected as an option you would have the UHP in behind. Vx never offered this as a retrofit so wiring would have been UHP installed as well especially on the facelift as you well know they cut down on just about everything they could.

There are UHP4 microphones for sale on ebay if you want to start preparing for your next modification! The complete kits pop up from time to time for about the £200 mark.
