yeah that's an option although no sure about more power, migh fry the flywheel and clutch.

Would it really do that to the flywheel? After breaking down whilst on holiday in cornwall last week, EGR related (this has now been disconnected ever since) I'm now looking at getting a remap with a view to removing the EGR and DPF

i have no idea, i read ( on here i think) that the 150 stresses the flywheel anyway, if so any more power would surely shorten its life

you could go for a small power gain , but it will only cause problems if you boot it every where , mine is mapped . where in the mid,s are you as i know there are a lot off mapping places up that way .

As above - flywheel is all about how you drive the car, not the power going through it. If you only do town driving and thrash it everywhere, you'll knacker it. Motorway driving with good clutch control will not effect it - mine's been mapped for 15k and is on 116k total and is fine...

my driving atm is sadly 90% town driving although i dont thrash it.

maybe a small power increase wouldnt hurt then.

main thing is to get egr and dpf deleted so at least it runs the best it can
