Default Looking for pics and reports of a lowered stardard height Vectra

I chaps, I'm considering 30mm or 45mm lowering springs for my car (standard height, non-SRi) and have been informed it's 15mm higher than the SRi cars.

I'm interested in either FK or Lo springs and I'm looking for pics of how far down the standard cars look with the 30s and 45s for a comparison if anyone has them?

    Thanks in Advance

    Stuart

    Vehicle : Vectra SRi

Whether its an SRi or not, a -45mm spring (or any reduction) will lower it the same amount, with an SRi a -45mm spring will lower it about 30mm (taking into account the lower ride height by spec).

Ah I see so the drop is relative to the "starting" ride height! Excellent

Nice motor there Coldo, the 30 drop looks really nice, they're the wheels I originally wanted but i now have preface 17s, think they're Astra/Zaf ones - look nice on the vec. I was gona go for the 45s, but seeing that makes me think there's no need to go that low...

    Thanks for the input guys

    Thanks bud...

The Pentas are nice but over priced for what they are... I managed to keep them when I traded in an Astra with 17" instead of these 18"... dealer never noticed lol...

I like the prefaclift 17" actualy... on a silver car I would consider powder coating them anthracite like mine as they look just a bit different but not as stand out as gloss black...That said the silver is nice on a silver car...

As for springs... I have had several different brands over the years from PI prings through the Eibachs. In my opinion the only springs to go for are the Eibachs as they give the best ride and handeling combination. Not the cheapest but well worth the money for the german engineering that goes into them.

I have found the cheapest place to get them in on ebay from demon tweeks... If you dont have paypal etc find them first on ebay then call them and quote the item number... they will then take a payment over the phone at that price etc...

Its a Limited Spec (LS) but I have fitted an SRI front bumper, colour coded handels and clear design rear lights... Stubtle changes which make all the differencer to the cars looks....

Strangly the black trim on the rear bumper / side skirts and the lower spliter of the front bumper ties the colours together quite well..

Planning on getting a lip spoiler for her also but I am mega skint the now (babies have a habbit of sucking you dry of money ) which is rubbish as their is one in the parts for sale section in the right colour I want... Made a very cheap offer but the seller wont budge... (cant blame him for that)...

oh and there is a bit of opel'isation going on also

Cool, It's on the medium-long term list rather than the short term list, but wheel refurb is defo nearly no. 1 - starting to really annoy me! I got the preface ones primarily cos i got em cheap, but also cos i like them on a facelift car, there's one other Vec in my area with the same combination and im convinced he copied me haha!

Considering getting silver faces with black edging (the edges of the spokes I mean) I haven;t seen anything similar and I think it'd look pretty smart.

Thanks guys, Coldo well done on a very purrty car, starting off on the bottom rung and livening it up - same as me nice one!!

As mentioned before the manufacturers base their drop on the standard Vec, so be it an sri or an elite with -30s they will sit at the same height

    Here's mine on Irmy Springs
