Default Change air con rad any tips

Had the air con re gassed at Kwik Fit for £49, this worked for a day or so and failed so I popped back and they say there is a leak and removed the remainder gas and offered a free re gas when repaired.

There machine which checks for leaks prior to gassing tests the main pipes but no the rad, I cannot see any oil on any pipes in the engine bay so I believe the rad is to blame so looking at changing this.

Looking at the rad through the grill it looks like it's been shot at with an MG42.

Anyone changed their condensing rad and if so are there any issues, also when connecting the pipes to the new rad is there any joining solution etc I should use.

    thanks

Two Studs, and one of each of the seals. It has been pointed out in discussions that you can get the seals for a lot less than Vaux charged me for them.

No, there is no need to put any other form of sealant on the seals.

Easy job on Vectra C takes around 1 hour remove front bumper and easy access would recomend getting new plastic studs for refitting bumper as the tend to break when taking out

found a place in Birmingham that will supply original part for Aprox £100-00 delivered to your door but sorry cant find details just search on line for Vectra Aircon condensor
