Default Stop me buying a Mondeo 2.2 TDCI?

I've started looking around for a different car and have come across the Mondeo 2.2 diesels.. Same engine as in the ST TDCI's but without the body kit. I've seen a couple of Titanium X ones which look smart and have tons of kit. I know opinions will be biased, but what are people's thoughts on them compared to the Vec? (Currently have an 08 1.8 SRi).

No a mondeo fan mate. Boring cars not as good of engine a vaux has. Me mate has had one for years and all he does is complain about it.the vec is better styled aswell. Each to there own mate personally I hate them everytime I see a st220 or st24 and the likes I just have to have a blast with them. And guess what I smoke the doo da out of them. But like I say everyone likes different. Keep the vec

my mate had a 2009 titanium x with sat nav from new the sat nav broke twice, the second time they tried to charge him for it as this is only covered for 12 months from new and then the flywheel went at 35k was really funny watching it as the car was vibrating that much we thought the engine was going to jump out then he sold it ,the garage said this is a common problem and they all go wrong but its your choice at end of day,oh it was a comfy ride

What year? If its the new shape (56plate>) than i would say go for it, but NOT a diesel varient. They are rubbish engines. My choice would be a Titanium x estate 2.5t.

Have you not looked at a 1.9CDti?

I moved from a mk3 Mondeo and must admit that if I was to go back the titanium x would be my second choice after an ST.

If your after something that feels sporty thought I'd stick with a Vectra as the Mondeo just feels like a big lazy barge.

If your going to an 06 plate from your 08 plate I would say you are down grading as said not as well styled than your . The mondeo is boring IMO but at te end of the day it's your choice mate

Ah! Just realised that with the years of the cars! If your dropping down a few years for financial reasons fair enough but give it a few months and the price will drop on the mo deo as the new Aston/Jag/Mondeo is to be released in 2013
