    Default Cambelt change?

How much roughly does it cost to get a cambelt done
on a 3.2 veccy c gsi? Mines has done 56000 and it doesnt
say in the history if it's been done or not!!

You can pick up a VX timing belt kit and water pump for about £130, part numbers 9201887 & 93170697. Expect it to be about 2.5-3 hours for fitting so should be about £250-300 tops from an independent.

Interestingly VX Masterfit offer of £249 for the timing belt on a Vectra at the moment, but id bet the minute you mention its a 3.2 its a lot more, would be worth giving them a call.

Fixed Price Repairs apply to selected models aged between three and 10 years with up to 2.0L engines only, excluding VXR models. Vehicles fitted with IDS are excluded from the shock absorber offer.
under their terms and conditions, so you'd win that bet.

i've been quoted £350 for cambelt + water pump at my local stealers....only reason i'm taking it there is because my old indy tried to rip me off to the tune of £300

I pointed this out to them, and they agreed to the fixed price servicing, plus the difference in cost; ie 4 litres of oil plus the Fuel Filter (as the Masterfit service does NOT include any filters, other than the oil filter)
On completion of the service I will then fit a new pollen filter and air filter myself

I am quite sure you could do the same with the 3.2 on cambelt change
"Nah, that's too expensive", I've used that trick a few times and managed to drop an hours labour off a brake pads and disc change

    This just the belt though?

    Does it include tensioners?
