    Default Anyone tried this gear knob re-trim?

    My gear knob is looking near to what the picture is showing in this link.

    These guys send you a bit of leather by the looks of it.

    Has anyone tried it? Is it worth a try?

    Thats to fit a new gear knob, these guys offer a piece of leather custom made for this gear knob. Dont need to remove the knob apparently.

    Have'nt started mine yet as I'm having trouble getting my knob off the stick but here's a link to the fitting instructions I've got off the supplier;

    http://tuning-shop.co.uk/images/Inst...ver/index.html

    I recon it would be a good idea to use some sort of contact glue myself to stop it coming out it's grip points and to stop the leather moving when it's put back together and used daily.

    Soon as I get mine off I will do a how2 with pics unless someone beats me to it.

    Hope this helps?

    The gear knob is just a friction fit on the gear lever. But it can be hard to remove it. 2 people and 2 bits of wood about 12" long and an 1" square, one person in each seat, 1 piece of wood each side of the gear knob and pull.
