    Cool my new car :)

Well I went to pick up my vectra c 2.2 DTi today.

It was advertised as having a faulty gear box as it wouldn't go in 2nd or reverse. This was even though it had a new clutch, slave cylinder, both inner cv boots, and a another second hand gearbox fitted, receipt for £895 two months ago. Got it home and checked it, it's just the plastic bit where the linkage cable bolts onto box has snapped, taped it up for now and get all gears fine

It has HID's and coilovers fitted, along with 4x brand new tyres.

The only other fault I've come across so far is the cruise control doesn't work, it works then cuts off if I use the indicators, so I'll try changing the stalk.

Overall I'm very happy with it, looks so much better than my old gold SXI.

How do you lift coilovers though as it's too low for my liking?

Nice car, coilovers are easy, back all you do it take the weight off the car
And wind them up, front jack up car , remove wheel and wind them up,
You should have a c spanner to adjust them, if not sure you could sorce
    one easily enough

It should have a set of adjusting "spanners" that allow you to wind the collar up the strut shaft itself and raise the height.

your health to enjoy the car sounds like you got a good deal on a "problem car"

A very nice looking car mate. I have the same engine which is running @ 140 bhp with just a few simple mods. The dti is a good solid lump, enjoy.
