Quick Ques: Castrol Magnatec 5w-30 for a 2.2DTi

Halfrauds doing a Half Price deal of this stuff 4L for £17.50, (others are available, but for my 2.2DTi ill be getting the Castrol Magnatec 5w-30 Fully Sync) wondered if anyone has any use of this stuff before i do an oil change??

Go for that instead. Mine loved it. Nice, quiet and cheap too. You'll need 5.5 litres I think so a 5 litre bottle and a 1 litre. 500ml left to top it up with. Had Magnatec in it when I first got it serviced and it seemed so much louder and clattery with it in.

yes i put this in my 2.2dti last year no probs with it.

I just bought 5 litres of GM fully synthetic 5W30 for my car at Q'parts in Irvine on special for £15!!

I use vx 10/40 semi synth. Believe its better being slightly thicker in an older engine with higher miles.

Been using 10/40 semi all the cars life and runs very quiet.

Also change the oil every 5k. so now on 115k, so alot of oil changes. And its cheaper than 5/30 fully.
