    Default tyre care

ok folks, merry crimbo one and all, how about some suggestions on tyre blackening? at present i use wonder wheels blackener, but it really is a grind trying to mask off the wheels to avoid making black streaks on the alloys. Has anyone got an idea of a better product 'cos as the winter months progress the amount of salt on the roads will be a nightmare.
Also many years ago i got a product called raindance, which is a polish great at waterproofing the metal of your bodywork. Got it from an American military px store in Germany but wondered if anyone had seen it over here.

    Cheers

As for tyre blackening I use Megs Gold Class Endurance High Gloss. Its a cream so no over spray, just rub on with a cloth or applicator. Not to sure about a metal protector product but I use Megs NXT Tec Wax. Its got a little polish in it as well so also restores the chrome to tip top condition. HTH.

i like the sound of the shoe polish idea, especially for winter, it seems to make sense, but how would you apply it? cloth or old shoe brush?
