    Default Air Bag mot

    Hi
    I have 2 blown air bags,nearside seat and curtain airbag.
    Have done some reseach and think i can repair this myself,curtain airbag 25 pounds of e-bay send away airbag module for repair 30 pounds,i have access to tech 2 .
    Anyboby got any advice on doing this job,air bags blew 6 years ago when i hit some black ice.

    do you mean deployed? i have both front seat air bags you can have for free Nottingham isn't far from me.

    Thanks for your offer Dan very kind but i already have the seat airbag,bought it long time ago,did cost me about 80 quid though yes the airbags were deployed they go with a big bang,not one of my better days,

    Some airbag ecu's can be reset with other Tech2 type software (I have done it to a MK5 Astra)

    If its same as Astra then air bags are easy to replace and can be reset using tech 2

    make sure you get the correct airbags, some have a single connection and some have a two wire connection.. I should think you need to change you seat belt pretensioners as well, these are also in twpo different types (a single connector version and two connector version). The G shock sensors (impact sensors) may also need to be replaced.. If you do a full tech2 readout or use the other software it will tell you what you need to replace along with getting the deployment data wiped from the ecu..
