    Default leak in boot!!

i seem to have a leak into the boot, which is settling in my spare wheel well. i have resealed the rear lights in and its still coming in. i now think its coming in through the sealed part of the top of the boot external channel. and i can't seem to get the roof rack trim off to re-seal the microscopic crack in the seal.. there is no listing in the haynes manual for this. can anyone explain how it comes off... thanks... my car is a 04 vectra sri hatchback

Small screw driver under the very rear part of the trim at the boot lid(use a cloth to protect the paintwork) and just prise it upwards. Also worth checking the condition of the aerial seal, these perish and the water runs down the rear washer hose then drips and runs down the C pillar, down the back of the fuse box and on to the floor.

Drop the roof lining, and its a 17mm spanner to undo the base. If its not too far gone try some silicone seal, or try to get another one from a scrappys. I found the one off a vec b fits pefectly.

mine also has a slight leak in left side of the boot & sometimes when starting the car ( in wet weather ) I get the " check safeguard " warning on the screen .
my aerial is a bigger base than the vectra B ones , the car does not have sat nav so why would this be ?

mine was leaking because of the body sealant had cracked and was dripping down the inside of the rear quater pannel, it's a quick fix with a tube of black silicone sealer and once it's gone off just touch it up with a touch up stick! sorted!
