    Default ignition live

    just fitted a head unit into my 05 vectra SXI but need to know the ignition live wire colour as the stereo isn't shutting off with the ignition
    any ideas please

    just spoke to the lad that fitted it for me as I'm useless
    he said its not the same as usual with it being the satnav one and all the wires are different colours to usual
    he's saying we need to take the ignition live from the back of the 12v jack near the ashtray ... make sense or is there an easier way ??

    It will work doing it that way.a cant comment on the wiring as I haven't looked at one with sat nav for a while

    ok aslong as its safe to use the black wire on the 12v jack il let him do that seems easiest

    seems after reading on here I've been a bit hasty taking out the cd-70 they seem pretty good I'm thinking il put it back in
    can i a/ connect my iPhone to it and b/ connect a sony xplod sub

    I had the problem with a JVC unit in my 2006 Vec. I wired the live (red on my one) to the live wire on the back of the ciggie lighter. Wasn't difficult and worked a treat - cd unit switched on and off with the ignition! Hardest part was getting the original Vx unit out of the mounting frame, it was tight as anything!

    bring you sub with you when you come just so i can have a look at it and i will be able to advise you what you need for it mate and im not sure about your iphone mate
