Default Retrofit ESP ? what do i need....

    Hi Guys

well i was thinking about retrofitting ESP to my car...

    It has TC and ABS..

What i do know its missing is the "Rotation rate" sensor that should be around the gearleaver area.

But what else would i be missing that i needs to change?

(even I was in dought if it should be here under breaking and handling or Electrical).

    Cheers

    Ken

I would assume it has a different ABS module, as mine is marked ABS-ESP
The interaction with the rear ABS sensors is different

Even with TC you can still spin your wheels.. (but not if you have ESP)

it will make no difference if you have esp. esp uses the brakes when your car slides.

I can spin mine too, the TC on the Vectra C is very poor
I can even do it in fourth gear!

The main benefit is the ESP on roundabouts, or where oversteer is highely likely, not that the car should be driven like that...

Very few other occasions where ESP should be activating (ie the rear of the car is commencing to overtake the front of the car)
