    Default Change aircon compressor 1.9 CDTi (120) 57 plate

    Need to get my aircon fixed as even in Scotland it's getting uncomfortably warm in the car.

    Tried to get it re-gassed but turns out compressor is goosed.

    So I am trying to source a used item but need a specific part number from the faulty compressor.

    How would I get access to the compressor firstly get the part number and then once I source a used part change it?

    Cheers.

    Is it the actual compressor or just the clutch? The clutch can be changed on it's own

    I did my dti compressor clutch using a s/h compressor from ebay. It saved having to disconnect the pipes etc.

    Can anybody offer any advice on how to find the exact part number for this?

    How do I gain access to the comprssor?

    Vehicle : Vectra

    Engine : 1.8 VVT ( No2 ! )

    Year : 2007

    Mileage : ... 293 k

    Did mine over the weekend in around an hour and a half. ( petrol 1.8 )

    I took the radiator fan and airbox out to improve access first. Then there is one plug to remove, the torx bolt holding the two pipes on and three mounting torx bolts.

    Don't forget to change the two seals on the pipes when you do !

    Take a look here for the part number:

    John - you still haven't told me how you got your clutch off

    OK - it depends on your chassis number.

    I'd suspect your compressor model number is 13197197 - ( several on e-bay at the moment ) but please take a look at the plate on your current one and check

    Just to double check, this will be the last 8 digits from the chassis number, in my case 71127168?

    13265616 is for you.

    FYI - it's the last 8 digits of your VIN so.....
    7 = Model year (2007)
    1= Production plant (Rueselshiem, Germany)
    127168 = serial number, resets every model year
